“He has said it all”: Nigerians on the #AmaechiTapes

Nigerians have continued to react to the viral audio report where the Minister of Transportation and the Director General of Buhari Campaign Organization, Right Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was allegedly recorded to be castigating the Buhari Administration that things were currently difficult in the country.

Most of those who called in during Monday’s (Jan 7) edition of The Daily Report had various opinions on the issue. Some respondents believed that the audio was doctored and manipulated to score a cheap political point.

For instance, Mr Joseph from Ikeja GRA in Lagos affirmed that Amaechi was right in the audio because things were really bad in the country. Another caller; Shepherd Nweze noted that the thoughts in the audio that went viral is not far from the reality as people were suffering.

Da Silva calling from Amuwo Odofin accused the PDP of releasing the doctored audio. He said they had nothing to campaign for and were only chasing shadows. For his part; Pascal Chimezie said it was unfortunate that Nigerians were taking sides and not seeing the dangers ahead saying that Amaechi was right in his thoughts.

Bode Oguntoye from Ota insisted that Amaechi being an insider can’t be wrong as he was saying the obvious. He challenged Amaechi to prove to Nigerians that the audio was fake and doctored. Another Caller; Emmanuel Iheme said Amaechi was saying the obvious.

Responding to the issue ; Kunle Agbo from Victoria Island said those looming around the President were a bunch of sycophants. He said those applauding the President today would say otherwise when they are not around the President and he believes Amaechi is saying the real thing.
