In general, experts say cerebral palsy causes impaired movement associated with abnormal reflexes, floppiness or rigidity of the limbs and trunk, abnormal posture, involuntary movements, unsteady walking, or some combination of these.
Founder of the Cerebral Palsy Center in Lagos, Ms. Nonye Nweke while guesting on the Daily Report said, being a mother of a child with CP gave her a new insight into the severe health condition.
Ms. Nweke also maintained that a permanent site has been secured for the center which will house all the facilities required to take care of all the children with cerebral palsy that come to the center.
