A Press Release by Vera Tellmann, Deputy Head of Corporate Communications, PR and Communications said in addition to establishing and fostering close relations with partners from the media and political realm, the position’s scope newly includes the company’s diversity management. This aims to promote diversity within DW as well as in representation of DW on platforms for intercultural dialogue.

“Zahra Nedjabat possesses the perfect requirements for this position,” said DW Director General Peter Limbourg. “As a multilingual and cosmopolitan personality, she will promote our internationality and diversity both internally and externally.”

“I would like to thank Klaus Bergmann for the wonderful work he has done. He was a great and highly esteemed ambassador for DW on the international stage. He has carefully overseen the upcoming generation change in his previous position – a big thank you for this as well.”

Lawyer Klaus Bergmann joined DW in 1991 from Radio Free Europe. He first took over the management of the HR department, before leading the administration team of DW in Berlin from 1993 to 2009.
