Meet 15-year-old, brilliant SS3 student, Chukwudi Uchechukwu Okechukwu, the 1st child of his parents, with 2 younger siblings.

Chukwudi who hails from Enugu state is presently down with Kidney disease at the Pediatric ward of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos where he is receiving treatment, undergoing dialysis and waiting in the wings for Nigerians to come to his aid!

What exactly happened to this bright child whose parents are so proud of?

I was at his bedside today and I had this chat with his mother who proudly said to me that “my son can talk, let him speak about what is happening to him”

He is appealing to Nigerians to come to his rescue so that his dreams will not be cut short. His Parents are in contact with St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos Island and they have been put on the alert that the Transplant will cost N12 million and according to his mother, Gloria Okechukwu, “we have raised about N4.5m with an outstanding of N7.5m”. 15-year-old Chukwu still sees the need to ask Nigerians in his own voice to help him by contributing towards this transplant to help him stay alive.

Chukwudi was diagnosed at 10 after falling ill in school and had been receiving treatment but his condition deteriorated this year as he landed in hospital again on the 1st January 2020 where doctors said there was an urgent need for a transplant.

Donations can be made to his father’s account with the following details:
