THE TEAM

CHARLES KALU was born in Asaga Ohafia in thepresent day Abia State and holds a BA Hons 2nd Class Upper in Theatre Arts fromthe University of Jos and also a Master degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos as well as a Certificate in MediaEnterprise from the Pan Atlantic University.

Mr. Kalu has been a broadcast journalist for over two decades cutting his professional teeth in Radio Nigeria as a Reporter. He was also a pioneer staff of Silverbird Rhythm’s 93.7fm. He had the privilege of being the pioneer staff to establish Rhythm 93.7fm in Port Harcourt serving as the Head of News and later Station Manager.

Charles Kalu was later transferred to Abuja by Silverbird Communication as the General Manager of Rhythm 94.4fm shortly after attending the International Visitors Leadership Programme of the U.S. State Department.  He was later promoted as the Director of News overseeing the news component of the organisation across Nigeria both for Rhythm Fm  and Silverbird Television,STV.  Mr. Kalu also worked as Senior Manager News of Radio Continental 102.3fm now Max 102.3fm and was the  producer of  the award winning News and Current Affairs programme;  Kubanji Direct anchored by the venerable Citizen Jones Usen. 

Mr.Kalu has covered several other bits including; Politics, Health, ReligiousAffairs, etc. Currently Charles Kalu is the Executive Producer of The DailyReport -a News and Current affairs programme on Star 101.5fm.

Ify Onyegbule is an RNTC trained Journalist, Presentation Coach, Publisher, Author and Activist on Women issues. Her experience spans 19 years across different Radio and TV stations in Nigeria. She was Station Manager of Rockcity FM and General Manager of WAVE FM in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the course of these years. Presently she is the Host of the programme The Daily Report on Star FM and still interviews Women of Substance. Ify can be reached on 08026265478

PELU AWOFESO is a winner of the CNN/Multichoice African Journalist Awards. Widely published, his articles have appeared in many publications, including World Policy Journal (USA), Travel Intelligence(Manchester), A24 Media (Kenya); Nigeria Indicator, NEXT and WINGS (an in-flight journal). Awofeso is also the author of four travel books, all based on his journeys around Nigeria. He oversees and manages the Social Media aspect of the Daily Report.


JANE ADAEZE ONUOHA hails from Itu, in Ezinihitte Mbaise Lga of Imo State. A graduate of mass communication from the Imo State University Owerri Imo State. She is a reporter with the Daily Report.

Tomisin Ojo was born on the 21st of August, 1983 in Osun State where she spent her early years and secondary education. She graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with a degree in Linguistics & African Languages.
In a career that has spanned over one decade in business management and broadcasting, Oluwatomisinis surely making her mark on the world.  She is a News Caster and currently co-producer and co-host Bumper Breakfast Showon MITV and presents The Daily Report on Star FM. She is married to Olumide Ojo and blessed with a child
